Netik Corporate Actions is an application that ensures clients are immediately informed of events as they are received and deadlines are managed so as to allow them to make appropriate time-critical elections.
The application plugs into the Netik InterView data warehouse and has been designed to service all sizes of financial institutions that have roles on either the buy-side or investor services (custodians, prime brokers, etc.). Netik Corporate Actions operates in conjunction with the Netik InterView Data Portal and Information Portal components to provide a dynamic data hub solution for on-line inquiry, reporting and information management.
Events and Entitlements
The Corporate Actions Application uses the strengths of integrated data warehousing to take details of events and entitlements from back-end processing systems. Such communication can be in SWIFT or proprietary formats. Where multiple versions are passed, the Netik InterView Data Portal can execute data cleansing routines to ensure that the firm responds to highest quality information.
The Noticeboard
The noticeboard shows the summary corporate action position for the user. A user can be an account manager (seeing many accounts) or the end-client. The noticeboard shows activity by user-defined periods, e.g. current, within 30 days, 30-90 days and over 90 days.
The Election Process
The client is informed of events through a variety of Netik InterView options including an e-mailed PDF report, a CSV file or through an MT565. This informs the user that they need to go to the system and make an election (SWIFT users can elect automatically using an MT565).
Reports
The Corporate Actions module comes with a standard set of reports. However, like other Netik InterView ‘reports’, they are easy to tailor by the end-user who can simply add fields, remove fields, re-order and generate a tailored report for each client. The reports have the ability to be printed, e-mailed or converted into a CSV file.
